He was born in 1978 in Osmancık district of Çorum. After completing his primary and secondary education there, he attended Istanbul Avni Akyol Fine Arts High School in 1992. 1996 – 2002 Graduated from Mimar Sinan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting, Zekai Ormancı workshop. He gave group and individual painting lessons.
He produced works bearing his signature in many sectors.
Adopting an abstract expressionist approach, Akbaş brings subjects such as time, depth, cycles, metropolitan life, digitalization, continuity, fragmentation, old and new to his canvas and different mediums.
He continues his work in his workshop in Istanbul.
